so amazing. you can see the wave at punta lobos from the table. they are working on expanding the deck, the view was nuts! the owner of the hotel and restaurant came and greeted us with a story of his evening surf at sunset. the hotel is all little cabanas buried in the bush. all booked for who knows how long in advance. trails to the beach. punta lobos is chile's most famous surf spot. there are two huge verticle rocks off the point and the waves here can be very intense! look up ramon navarro, patagonia sponsored chilean surfer and friend of the owner. the food was wild traditional chilean local to this area. all the seafood from within 7 km, most from the point and rocks you can see from your seat. horse was on the menu as was rabbit. they brought us pate and fresh baked integral bread and we had quinoa salad with little bird eggs, small fish from the lagoon and lamb shank. so good. homemade ice cream with fresh berries for postres, wow!
